SP Module Two - Assessing gas fired heating appliances This module looks at the use of two types of gas-fired heating appliances; gas central heating boilers and gas fires. Although surveyors are familiar with gas installations, changes in regulation, technology and product development have overtaken the knowledge of many. Additionally, on 1st April 2009 the Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI gas registration in Great Britain. It is the new official industry stamp for gas safety. Consequently this is the ideal time to review the general regulations and requirements that govern the installation and maintenance of these gas appliances and this module will help you to spot some of the most obvious problems.
