One-day condition rating and report writing workshop
In July 2009, the RICS launched the new HomeBuyer Report (HBR). It is a radically restructured product that uses a condition rating system and a new 'plain English' approach to report writing. Although the 'level' of the new report is the same as the current HSV, the layout, structure and assessment methodology is so fundamentally different, many surveyors are choosing to attend an appropriate training course before they offer the new product.
Objectives of the workshop
- Describe the purpose and structure of the new HomeBuyer Report;
- Formulate an appropriate condition rating methodology;
- Review a new approach to report writing that balances the conflicting pressures of liability and customer service;
- Strengthen practical skills by applying these techniques to realistic case studies.
