Founded in June 2005 by a number of key players in the emerging market, the Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP), was set up to ensure that there would be proper representation for those companies who will be at the heart of a new industry. Full membership will be open to those involved in the production and collation of Home Information Packs (HIPS), with associate membership available to other interested organisations.

Home Information Packs are launching on 1 June 2007 to help improve the home buying and selling process. This Government website is designed to give those in the Industry more information on the new Home Information Packs. There are also useful details provided for home Buyers & Sellers, although a dedicated consumer website will be launching in 2007.

Movers-Pack brings together the technology, industry experience and surveying capability required to deliver quality assured Home Information Packs to partnering estate agency and conveyancing organisations.

Allied Surveyors offers a range of valuation services to mortgage lenders (including value validation via desktop AVMs and physical valuation inspections where necessary), to sellers (presales surveys) and to buyers (Homebuyer Reports and Building Surveys).

NARHI is the only organisation specifically concerned with the requirement of the licensed Home Inspector. NARHI and its members are committed to establishing this new profession, raising the standards of knowledge, quality and safety, working closely with other professional bodies and regulators.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the regulatory body for the surveying profession, provides a wide range of services for its members and the general public.
