The Government today announced the roll-out of Home Information Packs (HIPs) to all properties marketed for sale in England and Wales from 14 December 2007, whatever their size.
Communities and Local Government issued a press release and Ministerial Statement on the full roll-out of HIPs and supporting activity to ensure continued smooth implementation.
In a recent press release, the Council for Mortgage Lenders (CML) acknowledged that most of the major lenders are now willing to accept valuations carried out by surveyors qualified as TechRICS. Following representations from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a number of other surveyors, the CML issued a circular to clarify its attitude towards this new and rapidly growing part of the Institution.
